Our Classes
Welcome to Tai Chi Club’s Elementary Classes, where we continue to carry the same mission as all our classes — to make the art of Tai Chi accessible to everyone, regardless of background or experience, at no cost.
Our elementary classes are designed for beginners and for anyone looking to build a strong foundation in Tai Chi. These classes focus on fundamental skills that support future Tai Chi learning, including warm-up exercises, walking and stepping skills, upper- and lower-body skills, etc. In addition to foundational training, beginner-friendly Tai Chi routines are introduced to help participants gradually apply these skills.
The information in the corresponding class tabs was originally designed to help our in-person Tai Chi friends preview, review, and develop their skills in a supportive environment. For those unable to attend in person, our carefully selected demonstration videos, self-produced instructional videos, and back-view follow-along videos may also help you learn and practice in your own space and at your own pace.
Enjoy your Tai Chi journey with us, and let’s grow together!

Tai Chi Walking
Tai Chi walking is the fundamental foundation of all Tai Chi forms, developing balance, coordination, and internal body alignment through mindful step control. In this class, we break down the essential mechanics of stepping to help practitioners build stability and flow before learning full routines. These foundational skills strengthen body awareness and improve movement quality in all Tai Chi practice.

Tai Chi Warm Up
A proper Tai Chi warm-up is an essential part of every practice, preparing both body and mind for smooth, controlled, and mindful movement. It gradually increases circulation, loosens joints, and activates deep stabilizing muscles, helping practitioners move with greater ease and reduced risk of strain or injury.

8 Movements Tai Chi
8-Movement Taijiquan is a simplified and highly accessible Tai Chi routine designed to introduce beginners to the essential principles of traditional Tai Chi in a short, easy-to-learn format. Despite its simplicity, it preserves the core elements of body alignment, weight shifting, coordination, and mindful breathing that define authentic Tai Chi practice.
