For easy reference, I have summarized the upcoming Tai Chi competitions that I plan to attend for the year 2026. The key information for each event is listed below and their own website is referenced if you need more details.
Tai Chi is a personal journey, and for most of us, it is about health, and self-improvement. Competitions are simply one efficient way to challenge yourself and measure your progress if that is something that interests you.
If there is a competition you would like to attend representing our club, I am here to support you. If enough people (>5) are interested, we can organize additional practice group to help everyone prepare themselves or prepare a group performance . As always, these trainings will be completely free, based on classroom availability my schedule.
My goal has never been to push anyone into competing. My goal is to help each person grow in their own Tai Chi journey. Whether your goal is better health, personal growth, or simply becoming the best version of yourself, stepping onto a competition floor can be a great source of motivation. If that is a path you choose to pursue, I will do my best to support you every step of the way.
1st Longhorn International Wushu Kungfu Championships

- Additional Information: 1. One unique highlight of the event was a Wushu Hero cosplay contest, which probably is the first of its kind held in the United States. 2. This event will also serve as a Kungfu Team Trial for athletes aiming to compete in the upcoming international level competitions – 5th Pan American Kungfu Championships (October 8-9, Argentina) and 11th World Kungfu Championships (China, 2027)

5th Pan American Kungfu and Taijiquan Championships
- Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina

16th New England International Chinese Martial Arts Championships
- Location: Manchester High School, 134 Middle Turnpike E, Manchester, Connecticut, United States
- Competition Date: November 7, 2026

- Additional Information: Hosted by Malee’s School of Tai Chi & Kung Fu and sanctioned by the USA Wushu-Kungfu Federation, This event will also serve as a Kungfu Team Trial for athletes aiming to compete in the upcoming 11th World Kungfu Championships (China, 2027) and 6th Pan American Kungfu Championships (2028).
